Program Description This program offers a valuable series of lectures designed to meet the needs of the practicing nurse anesthetist.
The focus on Saturday will be on clinical applications of information related to managing epidural catheter complications, dealing with problems associated with the anesthesia machine, preventing cognitive dysfunction following anesthesia, issues of concern regarding the prevention and treatment of aspiration, and choices of analgesic drugs and techniques for the laboring patient. An update on the role of NBCRNA in certifcation and re-certification of CRNA's will also be presented.
The Sunday AM session reviews the problems associated with managing anesthesia for the diabetic patient, forecasting the role and expectations for nurse anesthetists in the future, and a discussion of the current challenges facing the AANA.
Ample time is provided for faculty/participant interaction.

Refund Policy If you must cancel, a full refund less $150.00 application processing fee may be obtained until April 7, 2010. After this date a $150.00 tuition credit is issued which may be applied to a future IPGE Program within one year of the date of issue. All refund requests must be made in writing or by email to: ipgeseminars@ipge.com. If IPGE cancels the program, a full refund is provided unless the cancellation is due to a natural or man made disaster (fire, flood, acts of war or terrorism, strikes, or any other situation out of the immediate control of IPGE). In this event, a voucher is issued valid for the full amount paid for the program and applicable to any future program within two years of the date of cancellation.
