Program Description
The SCANA Fall meeting Scientific Program offers the registrant a unique opportunity to reinforce or expand knowledge in several critical areas of clinical anesthesia practice.
Core didactic lectures will be presented with emphasis on understanding the problems of Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Ischemic Optic Neuropathy, and Negative Pressure Pulmonary Edema. The applications of monitoring devise to determine brain function under anesthesia will be presented along with a discussion of the special anesthetic needs of patients with transplanted organs. Current thinking with regard to aspiration pneumonitis, labor pharmacology, and post-op cognitive dysfunction will be discussed and a special session on the role of the NBCRNA in the certification and recertification of nurse anesthetists will round out the Saturday session.
Sundays discussions will focus on the role of the CRNA in recognizing oral pathology and the impact of dentistry on airway management and other factors influencing the management of anesthesia.

Refund Policy A full refund less $150.00 application processing fee may be obtained until September 1, 2010. After this date a $150.00 tuition credit will be issued which may be applied to a future program within one year of the date of cancellation. All cancellation requests must be made in writing or by Email to: ipgeseminars@ipge.com. If IPGE/SCANA cancels the program, a full refund will be provided unless cancellation is due to a natural or man-made disaster (fires, flood, earthquake, weather, strikes, acts of God, war or terrorism, or any other cause out of the sponsors control). In this event, a full value tuition-free voucher valid for a minimum of two years from date of issue is provided. In addition, an attempt will be made to re-schedule the program within a reasonable time period. IPGE assumes no responsibility for penalty fees imposed by airlines, hotels, or other suppliers. Protect your Tuition Fee with the Refund Assurance/Protection Plan For a non-refundable fee of $35.00 IPGE will waive all refund restrictions and provide a full refund until the day before the program begins (Friday September 10).
