Course Description

A continuing education seminar designed to update the participant in several areas of anesthesia practice, including the important business aspects. Core didactic lectures are offered in the most current thinking regarding Anesthesia Management of Hypertensive Patients and Patients with Diabetes. The problem of Awareness and Recall will be reviewed and suggestions made for dealing with this complication. Several controversies in Regional Anesthesia will be discussed and the Future of Anesthesia Care will be examined in light of the current changes proposed for health care delivery. The Friday lectures will focus on Anesthesia as a Business. Several major areas will be explored including Contracts, Liability Insurance, Billing and Collections and Business Principles as they apply to the profession. The seminar concludes with several clinical topics including a look at those EKG changes that should cause concern, Anesthesia for Lung Surgery, the Applications of Various Ventilation Modalities, the Management of Allergy and Anaphylaxis, and a discussion of the Pharmacological Interventions useful in Managing Intraoperative Cardiovascular Emergencies. Audience participation is strongly encouraged and ample time is provided for questions and discussion.

 REFUND POLICY

If you must cancel, a full refund less $150.00 application processing fee may be obtained if notice of cancellation is received in writing or by Email (ipgeseminars@ipge.com) no later than May 9, 2011. After this date no refunds are issued. If IPGE cancels the program, a full refund will be provided unless cancellation is due to a natural or man-made disaster ( fire, flood, earthquake, weather, strikes, terrorism, or any other cause beyond IPGE's control.) In this event neither of us is at fault and a tuition-free voucher valid for a minimum of two years from date of issue is awarded. In addition, an attempt will be made to reschedule the program within a reasonable time period. IPGE assumes no responsibility for penalty fees imposed by airlines, hotels, or other suppliers.
 

REFUND ASSURANCE PLAN

For a non-refundable fee of $35.00 IPGE will waive all refund restrictions until the day before the seminar begins (Wednesday, May 18, 2011). To purchase this option, check the appropriate box on your application or inform the registrar if phoning in your reservation and add $35.00 to your tuition fee. This option must be purchased at the time of registration and is not available after May 9, 2011. Remember!!: all cancellations are caused by unforeseen circumstances. It just makes sense to protect your tuition fee.

TRANSFER OF REGISTRATION
